Our app is in the final stages of development (Apr 18) and we are looking for volunteers to test it prior to release on the Apple app store. This will take place via the Official Apple TestFlight app.
Here we explain the official Apple TestFlight process for our volunteer beta app testers.
Install the TestFlight app
To be a beta tester for any IOS app you will need to download the free IOS TestFlight app available at the app store. You can do this any time.
You can use TestFlight on up to 10 devices and test multiple apps for multiple developers - there is no limit to the number of apps that you can test simultaneously. TestFlight can be used to test iOS apps on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (running iOS 8 or later) and the new Apple TV.
Install and test our Train Spotting app
If you are just joining the process you will automatically receive a Notification from Apple via Test Flight inviting you to download and install our app. Once installed you will see an orange dot next to its name that identifies it as a beta version.
Once our beta app is installed, TestFlight will notify you each time a new build is available, provide instructions on where to focus, and offer an easy way to give us feedback.
The beta period lasts for up to 60 days, starting on the day it is released to testers. In TestFlight, the number of days remaining appears below the Open button for each app.
Can I Opt Out? Of course! If you do not accept your email invitation, the beta app will not be installed and you will not be listed as a tester. Additionally, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the invitation email to notify us that you’d like to be removed from our list. If you accepted the invitation and no longer wish to test the app, you can delete yourself as a tester in the App Details page in TestFlight.
